Lane Place has minimal accessibility. There are several stairs to climb when entering the museum, but once inside you can tour the main floor easily in a wheelchair. The second floor is inaccessible to wheelchairs and may be inaccessible to visitors who need walking assistance.
Directions to Lane Place
Lane Place is situated on Water Street between Wabash and Pike streets. Parking is available on Water and Pike streets or you may park in the driveway is space is available. Enter the driveway from Pike Street.
From Darlington (SR 47)
Head south on IN 47 until you reach IN 32. Turn right. Take IN 32 through Crawfordsville until you reach North Water St. Turn left, ending at 212 S. Water St.
From Lafayette (US 231)
Go south on US 231 to US 136/East Market St. Turn left onto Market Street. Turn right onto North Water Street, ending at 212 S. Water St.
From Indianapolis (I-65)
Take I-65 north to Indiana 32, exit 140, in Lebanon. Turn left onto IN 32 and head west until you reach Crawfordsville. Turn left onto North Water Street, ending at 212 S. Water St.
From Greencastle (US 231)
Head north on US 231 until you reach Crawfordsville. Turn right onto East Pike Street. Lane Place is at the corner of Pike and Water streets. Continue on Pike Street to the driveway on the right leading up to the home.
From Danville, Illinois (I-74)
Merge onto I-74 E toward Indianapolis, crossing into Indiana. Take the US 231 exit 34, toward Linden/Crawfordsville. Turn right onto US 231. Go south on US 231 to Pike Street Turn left onto Pike Street. Lane Place is at the corner of Pike and Water streets. Continue on Pike Street to the driveway on the right leading up to Lane Place.
