Civic Band Concerts - June 4th - 18th - July 2nd - 16th - 30th

The Civic Band Concerts are held on the grounds in the Pattison Pavilion from 3 to 5 p.m. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the beautiful music by the Montgomery County Civic Band. The July 2 concert is a 4th of July Celebration with patriotic music and lots of fun. Gary Ketchum is the director of the MCCB.

Museum Camp June 26-30, 2017
Celebrating Montgomery County Arts and Heritage
9 a.m. to Noon

Ages 8-12
$15 per camper

Campers spend each morning creating art at one of Montgomery County’s museums and art galleries. The week ends with campers exhibiting their art at Maker Day 2017.

On Thursday, June 29, the campers will be at Lane Place, home of Senator Henry S. Lane. Shannon Hudson, local teacher and underground railroad historian, will teach campers how to make a quilt square such as those used during the Civil War in quilt patterns to guide slaves to freedom.

Underground Railroad Bus Tour
Aug. 5, 2017 

A fascinating tour hosted by Shannon Hudson of homes that served as a refuge for slaves who were making their way to safety in the North. Hudson is an elementary school teacher who has extensively researched the Underground Railroad. She relates interesting facts about each home on the tour. Time and price will be posted soon.
